2012 GSPCA National Specialty Events

Notes about the event site:

There are no inside hallways and all doors open out to walkways. A couple of the buildings are two story and don't have an elevator, just stairwells. The three story buildings have an elevator to the different levels. There is one restaurant in the building but we didn't check it out. There are two casual bars, a business center, banquet facilities and meeting rooms. Typical of Phoenix it is all very casual with the pool and other amenities located in the center of the buildings, kinda like wagons circling a campfire. All parking is located on the outside of the buildings.

Interior area where the pool/show tent, etc. is located has grass areas and heavily shaded with both trees and palms. Because of the show tent location individuals should be able to leave dogs crated in the rooms.

Directly across the street is a La Quinta Inn. South on IH 17 off of Peoria Ave is Metrocenter shopping center - north on 17 is W Bell Road which has a lot of restaurants and shopping centers. For those flying in to Phoenix International. All rental cars are located away from the airport at one place. You have to catch a shuttle simply marked rental cars that goes to the location. If you have a rental and turn it in at the airport, you need to be sure and catch the correct shuttle that is going to the specific air terminal for your flight, i.e. name specific. We got on the wrong shuttle to the American terminal and needed the one to the Southwest Terminal. Fortunate for us, we were the only passengers left on his shuttle and when he called to get permission to drop us at the other terminal they said okay. Otherwise you would have to ride the shuttle back to the rental car location and catch the correct shuttle. Individuals need to allow enough time from the car rental site back to the air terminal.
