Candidate for Vice President

Personal History:

I come from a family of dog people. I am a third generation breeder, one who expanded the hunting aspects of our dogs into the conformation/obedience/hunting arena starting in 1963. We have had Group winning Irish Setters. We have owned Brittanys for the last five years as we hunt with them. Our English Cocker Spaniels of 44 years have acquired Best In Shows, Group wins, Hunt titles, OTCH Obedience titles as well as Specialty wins. The Pugs have been with us for 25 years and have been awarded Best In Show as well as Group and Specialty wins. Our involvement with German Shorthaired Pointers began 22 years ago. Since that time, we have bred many Champions, continue to hunt over them, and won Best In Shows.

After our Shorthairs passed away, and due to the fight with breast cancer, I have not been strong enough to include another young dog in out household. But the day is coming, soon I hope, when there will be more GSP's to hunt with, and to compete in the show ring. While a founding member of the North Texas GSP Club, I was fortunate to be able to handle my own Shorthairs in the field.

My husband and I have raised three very successful young men. I have owned two successful advertising companies.

I ask for your approval for the office of Vice-President of the German Shorthaired Pointer Club Of America. I offer many strengths from my long-time involvement with the varied responsibilities and multiple dog activities. I have spent almost my entire life enjoying the passion for dogs; their form and their function.
