NEW TITLE DOCUMENT COORDINATOR FOR THE SHORTHAIR JOURNAL

Member in good standing of the GSPCA

Time Commitment: 4-6 hours every December, February, April, June, August, October

Deadline Driven: Must be uploaded to the Shorthair Journal Drop Box or emailed to Shorthair Journal Editor on or before issue deadlines. Deadlines are January 1, March 1, May 1, July 1, September 1 and November 1.

Skills Required: Basic knowledge of Excel, able to use hide columns feature, cut and paste etc. Basic knowledge of MS Word. Able to fill in template and/or create new templates. Coordinate with SJ liaison and GSPCA secretary to obtain lists.

Good To Have, but not necessary: Sense of Humor.

Judges Education Coordinator (Chair)

Legislative Committee Co-Chair
The GSPCA is seeking an individual to serve as a Co-Chair for the Legislative Committee to work in partnership with the existing Chair.

Skills Required for Committee Co-Chairs:
Interest in Canine Legislative issues with the capability to keep up to date on information from a variety of sources on a Federal, State and Local basis. Ability to prepare written reports/articles suitable for updating the GSPCA board and membership on related activities for publication in the Shorthair Journal and on website and in social media.

Overview:
Create awareness of legislative issues on the national, state and local level affecting the GSP, including owners' and breeders' rights and the sports in which they participate. The methods currently employed are the GSPCA Website, E-mail Blasts, the Legislation Facebook page and articles in the journal. The board encourages the Legislative Chairs to seek additional ways to communicate to GSP owners. Every Chair brings different experiences to the position and the board generally supports creativity and new ideas.

Hall of Fame – Obedience
The Hall of Fame chairperson of the GSPCA is responsible for receiving HOF applications.

The GSPCA is looking for a person who is passionate about Obedience and the dogs behind that. If you are that person, we need a volunteer to chair the obedience Hall of Fame for dogs.

Requirements: Receive applications for Obedience Hall of Fame, potentially review the criteria being used to induct dogs and possibly update the criteria. Present qualified applicants to the board, one time per year, for review with your recommendation. Time required for the position: Minimal, except close to application review time.
